Xi Jinping: The Governance of China (Volume I)
This book is a collection of Xi Jinping's speeches, talks, lectures, interviews, instructions, and congratulatory messages from November 15, 2012 to June 13, 2014. The 79 pieces are arranged in 18 sections by topic, with notes to help readers better understand China's social system, history, and culture. The book also includes 45 pictures of Xi Jinping taken mainly since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 2012. The book presents comprehensive and accurate interpretations of the philosophy and strategies of governance by the CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping as general secretary, and answers major theoretical and practical questions concerning China's development in the new era. It is an important work on the country's development path and philosophy, and domestic and foreign policies, by expounding the CPC's people-centered development philosophy, comprehensive deepening of reform as the great driver for China's continuous development, the country's own development while benefiting the world through continuous opening up, and CPC leadership as the strong guarantee for China's development.

Xi Jinping: The Governance of China (Volume II)
This book is a collection of Xi Jinping's speeches, talks, lectures, instructions, and congratulatory messages from August 18, 2014 to September 29, 2017. The 99 pieces are arranged in 17 sections by topic, with notes to help readers better understand China's social system, history, and culture. The book also includes 29 pictures of Xi Jinping taken during the same period. To help the international community gain an overall and objective understanding of China's development path, philosophy, and model, the book presents a vivid record of how the whole Party and all the Chinese people uphold and develop socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Secretary General Xi Jinping at the core, the development and main content of Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and the CPC's contribution of Chinese wisdom and approaches to building a human community with a shared future, and to promoting peace and development for humankind.

Xi Jinping: The Governance of China (Volume III)
This book is a collection of Xi Jinping's reports, speeches, talks, lectures, instructions, directives, and congratulatory messages from October 18, 2017 to January 13, 2020. The 92 pieces are arranged in 19 sections by topic, with notes to help readers better understand China's social system, history and culture. The book also includes 41 pictures of Xi Jinping taken during the same period. The book is a vivid record of how the CPC Central Committee, with General Secretary Xi Jinping at the core, has led the whole Party and all the Chinese people in making major fresh progress in developing the various causes of the Party and the country since the 19th CPC National Congress, with regard to the overall strategy of rejuvenating the Chinese nation and as the world faces profound changes of a kind unseen in a century. The progress represents the most recent achievement in adapting Marxism to the Chinese context, and wisdom and approaches the CPC has contributed to building a human community with a shared future. The book is an authoritative work that comprehensively and systematically reflects Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, helpful for the international community to better understand the main content of the Thought, why the CPC and Marxism work in China, and why socialism with Chinese characteristics is good for the country.

Xi Jinping: The Governance of China (Volume IV)
The Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council Information Office, with the support of the Research Institute of Party History and Literature of the CPC Central Committee, and China International Publishing Group, have compiled a fourth volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China. This volume is designed to help officials and the public better understand and apply Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, to impress upon them the decisive nature of the Two Affirmations, to strengthen their commitment to the Four Consciousnesses, the Four-sphere Confidence, and the Two Upholds, and to guide them to forge ahead in unity and with greater resolve on a new journey in the new era. It is also intended that this volume will help the international community keep updated on the latest developments in President Xi’s thoughts, give them a better understanding of how the Chinese people have succeeded under CPC leadership and how they will continue to succeed in the future, and explain the development path that China has chosen and its approach to and theory of governance. This volume contains a compilation of 109 of Xi Jinping’s spoken and written works from February 3, 2020 to May 10, 2022, along with 45 photographs taken since January 2020. It is divided into 21 sections by topic, with the articles in each section arranged in chronological order. For ease of reading, notes are provided at the end of relevant articles.

This is a collection of 79 articles written by Comrade Xi Jinping since the 18th Congress of the CPC (Communist Party of China) on the importance of a harmonious co-existence of humans and nature. Most of the articles are published for the first time.

Xi Jinping in Zhengding: Let the People Live a Happy Life
From March 1982 till May 1985, Comrade Xi Jinping worked in Zhengding, Hebei Province, as the head of the county’s CPC Committee, being the deputy secretary first and then secretary. The book relates his stories in caring about the people’s livelihoods, exercising down-to-earth governance, carrying out reform and innovation, expanding opening-up, cherishing talented people, strengthening Party building and being strict with himself. In Zhengding, Xi worked together with the local people, shared their joys and sorrows, had the county lead the Hebei Province in implementing the all-round responsibility system, adopted a favorable policy to attract talents, helped lift the county out of poverty and led the county onto a path of developing a “semi-suburban” economy. The book is a vivid demonstration of Xi’s thinking, practices, governance style and personal charisma.

Eradicating Poverty Xi Jinping
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 2012, Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC, has made poverty eradication a top priority in the governance of the country, with a view of the general situation of the country’s drive to build a moderately prosperous society in all respects and realize the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation. He has offered a series of new ideas and solutions, made new decisions, and created a new framework for poverty reduction, all of which have achieved remarkable results. This also represents a great contribution to the international poverty reduction effort. To help readers both at home and abroad to understand Xi Jinping’s theory and China’s actions on poverty alleviation, and to facilitate the building of a moderately prosperous society in China and a global community of shared future, the Research Institute of Party History and Literature of the CPC Central Committee and the Office of the State Council Leading Group for Poverty Alleviation and Development have jointly compiled this work. Divided into eight topics, this book is a collection of 242 excerpts from more than 60 speeches and writings by Xi Jinping dating from November 2012 to June 2018, many of which are being published for the first time.

Xi Jinping in Fujian: Mountains and Waters Take New Look
From June 1985 till October 2002, Comrade Xi Jinping worked in Fujian Province, assuming important leading posts in the cities of Xiamen, Ningde and Fuzhou and in the provincial CPC Committee and provincial government. The book recounts Xi’s stories of working in Fujian, including his three visits to Xiadang and seven tours of Jinjiang, during which he went to grassroots communities to find out about the masses’ living conditions, especially food supplies, and help them get rid of poverty. He urged the localities to develop mountain and maritime economies in a coordinated way; devised “digital Fujian”; pushed for reform of State-owned enterprises; took measures to prevent water loss and soil erosion and protect old streets and workshops; and promoted exchanges and cooperation across the Taiwan Strait. The stories vividly demonstrate Xi’s innovative ideas and practical explorations for Fujian’s reform, opening-up and modernization drive. These ideas and practices were far-sighted, creative and of strategical importance.

Xi Jinping in Zhejiang: Stand High, Stand Strong
From October 2002 to March 2007, Comrade Xi Jinping worked in Zhejiang Province at the posts of deputy secretary of the Provincial Committee of the CPC, acting governor and secretary of the Provincial Committee in that order. During his work in Zhejiang, Xi mapped out an “Eight-Eight Strategy” as the general program for the governance of the province and initiated the plan to build Zhejiang into an “ecology-friendly province”. He also proposed the ideas of “Safe Zhejiang” and “Law-Ruled Zhejiang”, promoted cultural development, and strengthened the Party building to lay a solid foundation for the province’s reform and development. The stories narrated in the book vividly demonstrate how Comrade Xi Jinping led the cadres and masses of the province to lead the trend and do a solid work to achieve a series of breakthroughs in transforming and upgrading Zhejiang’s economy and society, promoting scientific development and improving the regional layout of modernization construction.

Xi Jinping in Shanghai: Forerunner of Reform and Opening-up
From March 2007 to October 2007, Comrade Xi Jinping worked in Shanghai as the secretary of the Municipal CPC Committee. That period witnessed the city going through the critical stage of the reform and opening-up drive. This book recollects what Xi did to raise the level of Shanghai’s development and moral ecology. Soon after he assumed office, the new Party chief went on tours of all the 19 districts and counties of the city for investigation and problem-solving. With eyes on the overall situation and focus on the crux of problems, he took pains to heighten the Party organizations’ self-improvement to reach consensus among Party members; he took measures to pool talents in joint efforts for economic growth; he worked to foster a new ethos for the city and assign it new missions. Shortly after these vigorous and resolute moves, the officials and masses of Shanghai were greatly inspired and became spirited. The city took on a new look and committed itself to greater advancement. The book is a vivid reflection of Comrade Xi Jinping’s down-to-earth workstyle, perseverance in assuming responsibilities and determination for strict governance over the Party organizations.

Easy of Approach: Classics Quoted by CPC General Secretary Xi Jinping, part II
This is a special TV program jointly produced by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the China Media Group and broadcast at the CCTV’s Forum of 100 Schools, or “Lecture Room” as it is commonly known. By introducing and paraphrasing the ancient Chinese classics and famous phrases quoted by CPC General Secretary Xi Jinping in his major speeches, articles and talks, this program aims to interpret and publicize Xin Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

Zhejiang, China: A New Vision for Development
This book is a collection of the 232 essays written by Xi Jinping, during his tenure as Secretary of CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, for Zhejiang Daily's column "Zhejiang, China: A New Version for Development", between February 2003 and March 2007. The topics mainly cover: how to implement the Scientific Outlook on Development in relation to the reality of Zhejiang; officials' work style and way of thinking; commitment to the undertakings of the CPC, especially the correct attitude towards public power and personal interest; adherence to the CPC's purpose of serving the people. These essays represent Xi Jinping's proposals on scientifically developing Zhejiang's economy and society, giving timely answers to some questions about which the people are most concerned in everyday life.

Up and Out of Poverty
This book is a collection of speeches and articles by Xi Jinping during his tenure as Secretary of CPC Ningde Prefectural Committee, Fujian Province, from June 1988 to April 1990. The topics focus on how to shake off poverty, become better off, and speed up development in the eastern region of Fujian. They present many creative ideas, views, and methods, such as "A weak bird should make an early start", "Constant dripping water wears through the rock", and "four ways of connecting with the people at the grassroots". They provide in-depth answers to major theoretical and practical questions in promoting socioeconomic development in eastern Fujian, representing the author's thought and general strategies while working in Ningde.

On building a human community with a shared future
This book is a collection of 85 articles by Xi Jinping on promoting the building of a human community with a shared future. They represent important content of Xi Jinping's thought on diplomacy, an integral part of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. The book is helpful for foreign readers to understand Xi Jinping's theoretical thinking on "what kind of world to build" and "how to build a better world", and other major issues concerning the future of mankind, and to learn about the whys and hows about building a human community with a shared future.

The Belt and Road Initiative
This book is a collection of 42 articles on promoting the Belt and Road Initiative by Xi Jinping between September 2013 and July 2018. They represent a factual and detailed record of the proposal and development of the Initiative; and Xi Jinping's in-depth elaboration on its guiding principles, rich content, goals and routes, from such perspectives as China's continuous opening up, promotion of common development and prosperity, improvement of global economic governance, and building of a human community with a shared future.

Narrating China's Governance: Stories in Xi Jinping's Speeches
This book is a collection of 109 stories expressing General Secretary Xi Jinping's new thought on and new strategies in the governance of China, selected from several hundreds of his speeches and articles. On domestic topics, Xi Jinping tells stories about the importance of integrity, moral character, lofty aspirations, and good governance; on international topics, he tells stories about China and Chinese people's friendship with other countries and people, both at present and in the past, and about cultural communication and understanding. Extended Reading provides more details and background information for each story, to help readers better appreciate Xi Jinping's deep thinking on domestic and foreign affairs, national defense, CPC self-governance, and national and military governance.

Selected Letters of Xi Jinping
